Wise Atangana will be joining us for two African Music and Songs workshops on Wednesday and Thursday. He has worked with Madame Raquel for the last two years helping her Junior students write songs in French in songwriting workshops. Each Kinder class will enjoy a workshop in their own classroom environment.
Playdough Sign-Up
Please send a note via Communication books to your homeroom team to let us know if you are willing to make some playdough for your child's class. Thanks!
Flip-Flops & Crocs
With the warmer weather, students are now sporting a variety of outdoor shoes. Parents are to keep in mind that outdoor footwear should still allow for running, climbing, skipping and jumping. Crocs and flips-flops are not the best choice as they easily slip off during most of these activities. In addition, these shoes tend to have little traction on sandy pavement and cause many slips and falls. Please send your child to school with closed-toe shoes.
A reminder about Sunscreen, Sun hats & Water bottles
Both the Kinder and play structure yards have very little shade and a lot of direct sunlight. For families with children who burn easily, we suggest applying sunscreen to your child prior to sending them to school. Parents can also send to school some sunscreen for their child to reapply prior to outdoor play. Please take the time to show your child how to apply sunscreen to themselves, explaining that a little goes a long way. Spray sunscreens with pumps are allowed but please no aerosol spray cans. All students should bring a sun hat to school. All students should have a reusable water bottle as well.
