Our apologies with the confusion with the Initial Observations document. It is a new reporting document with a learning curve. You will note the envelope says please sign and return but the actual document has no parent sign-off or comments page. Parents are to keep the copy of the Initial Observations document sent home for their own records. Parents who have comments, concerns or questions can write them in their child's Communication book. Please use the envelope to return Parent-Teacher interview letters. Parent-Teacher interview letters should be going home on Monday, Nov.13th. The Kinder team will be doing its best to meet with all families. Please note if we have recently met with you, we will be using the time on designated interview days to meet with families we have not had the chance to meet with. If you are happy with your child's progress and communicate regularly with your child's teachers, you can choose not to meet at this time. Interviews will be held Thursday, Nov. 23rd during the evening and Friday, Nov.24th in the morning.
Winter is coming! How to dress for the cold weather.
We got a taste of winter last Friday. It was cold! Cubbie transitions are about to get REAL! Self-help and independence are the KEYS to success and happiness for you child. We ask that you practice at home and follow this sequence: snow pants, boots, jacket, neckwarmer, hat. mitts/gloves. This is how we teach our beginner independent dressers. Please reinforce these skills at home. We are seeing a lot of success in students using the flip trick and students proudly saying "I can do it myself!" Keep up the good work, Kinder fams!
Worm food
Our red wrigglers are feelings a little out of balance. Their diet is high in apple cores and banana peels. We are looking for vegetable scraps. Please send in any veggie peels as well as egg shells and coffee grounds. Thanks!
Recyclables & Flyers please
We are looking for paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls and grocery flyers. Please send them in.
Playdough Sign up
Both classes are looking for more playdough. Please send a note in your child's communication book or via Remind if you are able to help out.
