Take a peek at our Classroom Learning page to see some of the activities students have been engaged in thus far.
September Learning goals
School & Classroom Expectations - Teachers are reviewing rules, expectations and routines with students, This is done through circle time activities and explicit teaching as we go through our day.
Letters, Numbers and Colours - For some students this is a review and for others an introduction. Parents can help by highlighting these concepts in their everyday at home with their child. For example, they can work on one-to-one correspondence skills by counting collected objects, toys at home or with images in picture books. They can talk about letters by highlighting the letters in their child's name whenever they come across them in any form of text (books, signs, logos, etc.) They can play colour games when out and about by looking for objects of a particular colour.
Fostering a sense of community & belonging - Learning classmates names and about each other.
